- A — Hotels, motels, guesthouses, B&Bs, self-catering, backpackers, cultural villages, campsites outside protected areas
- B — Lodges, photographic/hunting camps, campsites inside protected or WMA areas
- C — Mobile safari operators inside protected areas
- D — Travel agencies and tour planning (excluding air/ocean ticketing)
- E — Tourist road transfers outside protected areas
- F — Motorboat tourism
- G — Other activities (cycling, ballooning, bungee, etc.)
- H — Mokoro
- I — Foreign-based operators with limited activity in Botswana
- J — Houseboats
- K — Semi-permanent mobile tented camps (up to three months)
- L — Travel agencies with air or ocean ticketing
